Przecież możemy zrobić to samo każdego innego dnia. Jednak to nowy rok zmusza nas w dziwny sposób do stawiania sobie nowych celi. I tak co roku, od nowa i od nowa. Aż do znudzenia. Co roku chcemy zacząć biegać albo ćwiczyć bardziej regularnie. Co roku... i co roku przesuwamy to w nieskończoność. Czasami postanowienie działa... dzień.. dwa... a potem co? Wracamy do naszego życia i naszej rzeczywistości. W końcu to my tak zdecydowaliśmy, to my tego chcemy? Nikt nas do tego nie zmusza. Nasza wola. A jednak.
To my raczej sobie tak wmawiamy.
Stawiasz sobie kolejne cele i gdy je osiągasz energia cię rozpiera i chcesz dalej i dalej. A gdy w końcu widzisz różnice.
Ja zaczynam ten rok z postanowieniem reaktywacji mojego bloga.

NEW YEAR, NEW BLOG - YOU HAVE TO START SOMWHERE.
The
end of the year always leads
us to reflect on our lives. To summarize our
achievements, our failures, moments that happened and had more or
less significance for us. The moments that changed us in some way,
influenced us. But the end of the year is not just a summary, it's
above all a new resolution. And maybe we say that this is not true
but each of us, quietly, poses some smaller or bigger challenges for
the coming year.
Why
do we repeat this pattern every year? We can make new resolutions
every other day. However, the new year is more powerfull to force us
to set new goals. And every year, make them from scratches and next
year again and again. Until ad nauseam. Every year, we want to run or
practice more regularly. Every year ... and every year we move it to
infinity. Sometimes the resolution works... day... two... and then
what? We are making backtrack to our life and our reality. We are
trying to postpone everything for tomorrow, the day after tomorrow,
to infinity. Why make us stick to the goals is so difficult? We
decided to make them, we wanted it, right? Nobody forces us to do it.
Our will. But still. Something is not working.
We
are strange individuals. We want to start again every year. Would not
it be easier to continue? Do we have to start again because the path
we follow is wrong? No. Just we are making believe that.
But
why are we doing this? And why do we need New Year's resolutions so
much? Maybe to feel more self-confident? Maybe it gives us the
feeling that we have power to take control of our lives. We wanted to be
able to say: 'I'm my own man'. Maybe the new year
gives us the opportunity to finally move our asses and really do what
was planned?
I
am writing thousands of resolutions every year. Some pursue more
scrupulously others less. I am writing down so many of them to be
able at the end of the year to say that I have completed at least
some of them. Do I enjoy this? Yes! Like a small kid. I feel proud of
myself that I could do it. I had so much strength and I did it.
Is
it worth to make resolutions? I think that there is no better
motivation than the one that comes from us. When you can see the
results of your work, you get an extra kick of energy and want more
and more. It's like addiction. But you also have to feel that you
want it. Not that this resoultion is just stupid idea taken under the
influence a third parties. When you start running at the beginning
you are satisfied with small distances. Then you want more and more.
You are no longer satisfied with the same. You set new goal and when
you achieve it, energy is growing and you want to go further and
further. Like learning languages. It starts with a few sentences. You
notice that you already can communicate with a foreigner. At the
beginning it is hard but you want it. You want to make more complex
conversations, you want to make new friends. The harder it is, the
more you want it (or maybe I just have that?). When you finally see
the difference, when you see that you can ... it's too late to stop.
Is
it worth starting from scratch? Yes of course. Although
'from scratch' it is not the best term. It is
worth trying 'new' things. The new year gives us an excuse,
the easiest in the world, to change something, to make a difference.
I
am starting this year with the decision to reactivate my blog. Now
empty, but I hope that soon, with the posts that will interest you at
least a bit and will have some minimal 'meaning'. And although
this post looks different than I assumed, I want to share it. Because
the beginnings are difficult but you have to start somewhere. It does
not matter that it is not perfect, it does not matter that it is hard
and we are not fully satisfied. The most important thing in the New
Year resolutions is that we have the courage to start. And the
results will come sooner or later. It is enough that we have our goal
and step by step, although sometimes very slowly, but we are
approaching it consistently. Is it really important how long it will
take us? No! It is important that we see change, the progress that
motivates us to reach for more.
We
can not be afraid to reach for what we want. Otherwise, we are the
losers at the beggining. Fear is an inseparable part of every
challenge. We just have to remember that it can not 'eat' us. Fear
must motivate.
Sometimes
it's difficult to keep our resolutions, but it's worth trying. Not
only at the beggining of the New Year. Every other day is a good
opportunity for that. My resolution is already being implemented. The
blog has started.
